Mojo

MoJo, Blogger/Speaker/Host, writes about anxiety and depression and has been supporting young people through speaking at events and on social media about her struggle with anxiety and depression for over four years. She tells us, “It’s important that I surround myself with like-minded women that share my experiences. I also appreciate that there are women that can help me further develop my knowledge.”

“I have been raped 7 times. None of those times have been by strangers, rape has no face. I suppressed my trauma for over 15 years (when the abuse first happened) and in that time I experienced a lot worse. Since being diagnosed with depression in 2017 I have found great strength in writing and sharing my story. My aim is to eventually write a book to highlight the pain that many young girls experience and to also emphasize the importance of finding importance and meaning of every difficulty faced.”

MoJo in three words:

“Resilient, exciting, passionate”

MoJo reveals:

“I obsess over things very easily, if I want to learn how to do something I will not stop until I figure out how. This includes learning how to lay a carpet in 2012.”

MoJo on Scarlet Ladies’ mission to destigmatise the conversation around female sexuality, empowering and connecting women around the world:

“I love sex. Despite the abuse I have still been able to embrace my sexuality and it is the best feeling in the world! Sex is very important to me because of the connection it establishes between two people and an act that I believe to be very sacred should never be tarnished.”
