Merry Christmas and Our Sexual Resolutions

With this year coming to a close and our 2019 theme set to be ‘Who I Am’, we asked our Scarlet Ladies team to reflect on their year and let us know their sexual resolutions…

Jannette

Do you remember what your sexual resolution was for this year?

I am not too sure exactly what it was but I am sure it was about having more sex and exploring.

Did you achieve it?

No, in fact it just got worse and turned into a full drought. Probably became the longest period of accidental celibacy I have experienced.

Did you reach any surprise sexual revelations instead?

Yes, I realised that I really was just trying to force myself to be more sexual. Which led me to just freeze up and not pursue anything at all.

Knowing what you know now, what’s your 2019 resolution?

Since running Scarlet Ladies I have put myself out there way more than I would like. Increased pressure to be the woman who runs a ‘womens’ sexual empowerment community’. This has led me to to question so many things about myself, even becoming more insecure. So for 2019 I want to live my authentic me, rather than who I think I should be. I want to reset and just go back to being the me who just does what I want rather than being influenced with expectations. So next year I plan to really embrace myself and be comfortable with myself.

How are you going to make it happen?

Going to just focus on me rather than what everyone is doing. Also take time to enjoy sex and all its pleasures.

Any final words of 2018 to our lovely members?

Do not be concerned with other women’s or member’s experiences. Everyone is on their own journey so it’s always important to remember that.

Sarah

Do you remember what your sexual resolution was for this year?

I decided to become abstinent in March 2017 for a year. My resolution for 2018 was to stay on it until March to make it a year.

Did you achieve it?

I did indeed. I remained abstinent until now, nearly 2 years on.

Did you reach any surprise sexual revelations instead?

I first decided to become abstinent because I was having sex for the wrong reasons and it made for mostly negative experiences. After I was raped, I felt I had to continue to have a “normal” life, date and have sex. Becoming abstinent was the most empowering decision I have ever made. It helped me to take my power back. However, I have had to realise this year that I don’t know how to now use this power for having sex.

Knowing what you know now, what’s your 2019 resolution?

I am conflicted over whether or not I want a sex life with others again. You see, I am more satisfied than I used to be, getting more orgasms than I did when having sex with men now that I am on my own. Of course I also don’t get any of the drama, pressure or fear that I associate with being with men.

How are you going to make it happen?

I think first of all I need to be clearer on what it is I want. I do get horny moments when I watch a Dwayne Johnson movie thinking of all the things I would do to him…….. But I feel that when faced with an actual man in real life, I’d still run a mile. So there are still issues that I need to sort out which I want to do in 2019.

Any final words of 2018 to our lovely members?

Do what is right for you, even if it is not conventional. Take the time you need. In the meantime, masturbate 😉

Jade

Do you remember what your sexual resolution was for this year? I didn’t have one!

Ok… skipping straight onto 2019 then..

Knowing what you know now, what’s your 2019 resolution?

I am going to look for more opportunities to have sex! Instead of the usual routine that my husband and I have. I would like us to try to be more spontaneous.

How are you going to make it happen? Take advantage of any spare time we have.

Any final words of 2018 to our lovely members? Sex isn’t just about the act of sex. Focus more on intimacy and create a sexy atmosphere to get into the “mood” the build-up to sex is just as important as the actual sex!

Nicola

Do you remember what your sexual resolution was for this year?  Hmm I think it was to only sleep with people when I was sure the sex would be good!

Did you achieve it? Actually.. Yes for the most part!

Did you reach any surprise sexual revelations instead? You can have just as sexy and revealing conversations fully dressed and not in bed.

Knowing what you know now, what’s your 2019 resolution? To commit to a person and not an idea…

How are you going to make it happen? A lot more focus on myself and my body and my pleasure.

Any final words of 2018 to our lovely members? We all deserve the sex that we’re looking for and so be open, be honest (with yourself and others) and be aware of who you are and what you want.

Merry Christmas to all our lovely Scarlet Ladies, thank you for being with us in 2018. We can’t wait for lots more sexual adventures and discoveries with you in the New Year!
